Legal Malpractice

At McEldrew Law, we represent plaintiffs and defendants in legal negligence cases, statute of limitation errors, failure to timely file documents, and escrow or billing mismanagement.  We work on behalf of non-lawyers who have claims for wrongdoing by legal counsel, as well as protecting the rights of attorneys who have been wrongfully accused of malpractice.

We handle cases involving all types of claims of legal malpractice, such as:

  • Failure to file required or essential documents in a timely manner
  • Failure to file a complaint within the period of time set forth in the statute of limitations
  • Malfeasance involving billing or the use of client escrow funds
  • Hiding or attempting to cover up errors or mistakes in law or procedure
  • Failing to represent you zealously within the bounds of law and propriety, as evidenced by settling too quickly or for too small an amount

Attorney Jim McEldrew has served as a member of the hearing board in Pennsylvania that oversees disciplinary actions against attorneys, and has an in-depth understanding of the issues that can arise in such cases.  Because of his depth of experience, Jim McEldrew is frequently called upon as an expert witness by insurance companies, which represent lawyers and plaintiffs who sue lawyers.  We have a solid understanding of the standards of care that lawyers must use when representing a client.  When necessary, we will work with private investigators and others to gather the information needed to prepare and present the strongest claim for your recovery.

When legal counsel has mistreated you it can be difficult to know where to seek relief. Should you hire another lawyer? How can you know if a new lawyer will aggressively fight for your rights?

At McEldrew Law, we understand how difficult it can be to trust another lawyer when previous legal counsel has violated your trust. We have more than 30 years of experience advocating for people who have been injured by the wrongful conduct of another person in the Philadelphia metro area.

We provide a free initial consultation to every client. To schedule a meeting, fill out our free case evaluation form, or call us at 215-545-8800.
